While I shiver and complain when the pool temperature drops to 79 degrees, a British long distance swimmer is planning 3 swims in Antarctica. And he wouldn’t be the first one. A few years ago Lynne Cox swam a mile in Antarctica, sans wetsuit, if you believe it. Clearly, these swimmers have superhuman powers. I for my part would rather get my brain freeze eating massive amounts of ice cream.

Woods lent me her book: Lynne Cox, “Swimming to Antarctica”. Interesting story, but only an OK read.
